Hi! My name is Hailey, and I am an outdoor enthusiast with a deep appreciation for nature. This eternal love is rooted in all that I do - from my current career as a biologist, to my enthusiasm for mountain biking, to the wearable pieces of art I craft.
For a long time I lived by the paradigm that scientists couldn’t be artists. This deterred me from developing my creative side. I dabbled in making jewelry from time to time, but mostly as gifts for close friends and family. This paradigm strengthened its hold on me until one fateful day my subconscious made it very clear to me that I felt trapped. Trapped by several limiting beliefs and subsequent choices that kept me from fully expressing all of me. With determination, and a little help from my vision board, I found all the creative elements of developing this purpose. I now see the world in brighter colors and luster than ever before. Upon the heels of this revelation I decided to hurl myself into the throes of learning torch fired enameling and explore the journey of starting an artisan business, so I can confidently express my creativity with unique, beautifully colored mixed metal jewelry. And so, Wanderling Creations was born!
Although I have no formal art training, I have developed my skill through curiosity and deepened my appreciation for the wondrous art forms of enameling and metalsmithing. What I especially love is the smooth feel of fired enamel, it’s expansive color collection, and hand-stamped designs that add depth and texture to unique, personalized pieces. The creative possibilities are endless! I relish in the feeling of being free to explore unknown opportunities and outcomes. And to see a vision fully form… wow!
I’m inspired by the people I meet and the beauty I find while immersed in my outdoor adventures. My empathetic nature relishes in the enjoyment of another when they fall in love with one of my pieces. I love the idea that something I created with my hands can bring another joy. And I am a lot about that joy! Through sheer passion, love, and enjoyment I create these beautiful treasures that I hope bring others happiness.
