My Mom used to play dress up with me and do my makeup when I was a little girl. She would say that I was her little doll. I loved this and I really loved playing with her makeup. My mom also liked to do art projects with my brother and I. Almost every week we would do a different art project. This started when I was about 8 years old and I think this was when my love for makeup and art truly developed. Color theory is very important to me when it comes to makeup, as well as knowing how to play with the balance of light and shadow, highlights and contours etc. One of the most rewarding aspects of being a makeup artist for me is helping people gain confidence, not just on the outside, but on the inside as well. There is a definite transformation that takes place during the makeup process, and it\'s not just a physical transformation. I received training at Jean Madeline Academy of Makeup, Aveda Institute. I have no formal training as a special effects artist, but I am very interested in becoming an expert and learning more. I have recently started to teach myself and the picture of the zombie posted here on my RAW profile is my very first special effects look. I have more passion and ambition when it comes to enhancing my career as a makeup artist than anything else in the entire world. It is what I love to do and I believe it is my destiny.
