My name is Kirstin Purslow, I am a Kwakwaka'wakw artist, photographer and massage therapist, living in Victoria BC. My prefered medium is 35mm film because each shot involves an extra level of attentiveness and patience. My passion for portrait photography lies in the unique and unexpected beauty of others. I strive to make anyone in front of my lens feel comfortable, confident, and like they belong. I hope to encourage others to embrace their differences, find comfort in being vulnerable, and to celebrate marginalinzed populations.
