Visual Art – Kansas City
Born and raised, I have lived my 23 years thus far in the Kansas City area. Most of my jobs have involved caring for humans; both big and small. There isn't anything I do without full heart. My art being no different. I favor the scratchboard medium; a process of tediously etching into a clay-board coated card-stock. Using an x-acto knife as my only tool, each individual mark that is made is sharp and stands out, and is not erased easily. The contrast of black and white, with occasional pops of color, paired with the intricacy and depth allowed to be captured through the medium, truly creates an image like nothing else. Through my art, and lack of eraser, I have learned that nothing is ever a mistake, it's just going to be different than you had planned.
