Visual Art – Portland
Scott Vaughan is professional artist with art showing in the Pacific Northwest. He focuses on the surreal experience of walking in nature and how those places are remembered using a mixture of abstract and impressionistic technique. His art is currently being shown in galleries in and around Portland, OR such as The Alberta Street Gallery and The A.N. Bush Gallery.
Scott Vaughan studied Fine Art in Louisiana focusing primarily in charcoal as well as
Painting. He worked as a Graphic Designer by day and showed work in pop up night markets in his free time while living in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. After moving to Oregon in 2011 he has pursued a full time career in art. In addition to selling art in various galleries he regularly produces commissioned work, sells online via instagram/VonsteadArt, as well as local art shows, markets, and coffee shops.
Scott Vaughan was also the co-owner of Perks of Art – a shared artists gallery/coffee shop in downtown Hillsboro, OR. He has written and illustrated two children’s books, and has done murals and design work for businesses in Oregon. Although he’s had his hands in many artistic avenues, his true passion lies in painting and sharing in the joy that it brings to people and their homes.
