Visual Art – Long Beach
I\'m someone who believes in the magic of making things with your own hands.
I wake up each day thinking of how and what I can make today. I get giddy with the feel of a tool in my hand, so it seems like a good idea to make that happen as much as possible.
I started carving bone and antler while living in New Zealand 10 years ago. When I returned to California, I immediately built a small workshop and started figuring out how to really do this thing.
In the following 10 years, I have expanded the materials and techniques I want to work with. At this point, my juices get flowing over large scale, wall hanging, wooden sculptures.
In the last 2 years, I have been working towards making my art more visible and available.
In effect, challenging myself to put my heart out there and share something I consider to be very personal.
