Memory fuels my passion for painting. When looking at line, shape, form, or color our minds turns to our memories in order to figure out what is in front of us. Memory creates and solves the artist’s problem. Regardless the artist’s intention, the viewer will see what he or she has witnessed and believe what he or she remembers. Memory solves the puzzle. Since 1996 I’ve studied art and art history. The collection of this work is a survey of the last ten plus years of studying the masters, Ernst, Man Ray, Dali, Picasso, Matisse and Manet to name a few. My interest in photography and music also has a solid hand in my painting. I’ve studied at the Kansas City Art Institute and Pratt College of Seattle.
