Photography – New York - NYC

Nigerian born portrait photographer based in NYC. Photography started as a recreational hobby but quickly turned into more than that from the first click of my DSLR in the winter of 2017. The adrenaline I receive form capturing reality and turning it into art is what keeps me going on a daily basis, there is no other feeling that can compare. I got into photography as a means of tapping into my creative side and it has allowed me to see life from a different perspective. The challenges and limitations that come with the medium keeps me motivated because you must think outside of the box to turn your inner thoughts into a reality and I am person who enjoys to be challenged. I got into portrait photography because I love working with others, and doing my part to capture them in a manner that shows the inner most character as best as I can. My favorite subjects to shoot with are black women because that is what I have been surrounded by my entire life in different capacities, most especially, in my family. My goal with photography is create unique works that allow me to change the narrative of black women in creative spaces. Thank you for supporting me in my cause by attending this show, you attendance is greatly appreciated!
