Film – Indianapolis

Filmmaking has long since been a passion of mine - from when I started making little films with my friends to the time I bought my first DSLR. One of the things I love most in this world is the creative process and starting new projects. The past few years I have been especially taken with cinematography and the language that you have to speak through images based upon mood and emotion. To date I have DP\'d several short films - along with my own through my LLC - Timeless Films. Last Summer I had the pleasure of meeting a documentary photographer in Holland who had just returned from shooting a good deal of footage in Morocco. She had planned to make this documentary surrounding this young Moroccan named Yassine who has all these ideas and aspirations but does absolutely nothing to realize them because he is lazy and addicted to hash. Yassine is pretty much a microcosm of the culture and society of Morocco. So Irina - who had gone over there had no idea what to do with the footage and gave it to me. I took it back to the states with me on a hard drive and edited it in two weeks. It has since premiered at the Meters Film Festival in Russia and also won awards for Best Documentary and Best Editing. I have also had the opportunity to teach a two week high school class on cinematography.
