The Cosmic Project

My name is Becca Heringer, and I founded The Cosmic Project because I believe that art exists beyond a four-sided canvas. Art is meant to be lived in. The Cosmic Project is a lifestyle brand that makes your every moment and movement a masterpiece. After graduating from the University of Delaware with a Bachelor in Fine Arts, I decided i wanted my artwork not only hanging on a wall, but also worn during the workout class, the weekend brunch with friends, the walk in the park…After all, you are a #WalkingCanvas. I find inspiration in the little things; the aimless weekend stroll, impromptu gallery drop-in, the sparking up of conversations with vibrant New York City personalities, a quote that sits with me and never really seems to leave — these experiences all different as they may be, morph into one, influencing as I sit down to paint. My process begins simply: I start with an idea, then by hand, I put concept to paper. I modify the sketch this way or that depending on what product I’m designing. I tend to combine prints and patterns that you might expect would clash, yet surprisingly find harmony in its juxtaposition. Hence, my mix and match pillow — both sides opposite, yet complementary, all at the same time. The Cosmic Project will bring creativity into your interior and exterior world.
