Visual Art – New York - NYC

When I was five, I knew I’d be an artist because as I watched my sis draw and tried to follow her foot steps I fell in love with the way lines curved and looped. I spent hours thinking about colors and shapes, imagining that some colors and shapes and how I could possibly use it to make my own world or reimagine the one we live in. Art has always beem redemptive, a saving grace in which I could find solace. Some part of me knew that what you create could be a form of asking questions and making connections. Even more importantly, I knew that art would be the medium that I could share the most unfiltered, dynamic, interpretation of myself and the world around me. I knew, then, that art was my lifeline. To this day art, I am now a portrait artist as well as a cosplayer. Both of which have never stopped being challenging however they remain rewarding. Not only has being a painter and cosplayer challenged and evolved my critical thinking but it also forces me to alter my perception of things in order to find new workable solutions, bring me inner peace and a sense of personal accomplishment. My family and fellow artists continue to inspire me to try to new things and make me want to share my crafts.
