Fashion – Los Angeles

I was an ambitious kid growing up, always wanting to know the next thing to jump into. I was a young parent, a mother of three. Despite being a young single parent, I continued to be driven. My desire to pursue fashion was sparked by my Uncle AL Brown. When I was a young girl, before I had my children. he had a clothing line and would produce some of the most elaborate and amazing fashion shows. I would see him sit at his desk and sketch a beautiful gown, turn to his sewing machine and turn that exact image into reality. When I saw that gown come down the runway on the model, that's when I fell in love. My dreams of becoming a fashion Designer were only temporarily delayed because, my children were my first priority and my greatest motivation. In 2006, they were older and I knew that was the time to pursue my dream. My children's first initial in each of their names as how I formed my label's name. Taj B:. ( Taj B Designs, is more than a name. It's family) I started my design company and it was going well but, I felt it wasn't truly me. I didn't feel as though I was true to my business; I wanted to be the one who brought the concept into conception. With that being said, I went back to school and received a Bachelors of Fine Arts Degree in Fashion Design. I've recently relocated to California to flourish my career.
