I'm an artist from the Bronx who believes that art is essential to the world of today, and wants to inspire others to not only pick up art as a practice, and passion, but to also rid the notion of the "starving artist". An idea that artist cannot make a living through art. Something that discouraged most people where I'm from, as well as others, to cease dreams and practice of anything involving art. Aside from this, but in relation, I have several goals I'm working towards as an artist, but my main goal to take an abandoned warehouse building and transform it into what I jokingly call an "Artist Mecca". A place that not only serves as an artist residency but houses several art practices and programs, from singing to dancing, painting, live drawing classes, nd more. The goal is to have several of these in communities that lack in places for children after school, children/ young adults who are not in school and artist who have nowhere to go.
