Accessories – San Francisco

The introverted, meticulous to the point of ridiculous, if Elvira was Martha Stewart and a handyman, Spooky Nightshade! My mom was an eccentric woman with as many disorders as she had styles. She was a hippy with an often bohemian aesthetic who once described herself as being a Hindu - Zen Buddhist - Wiccan - Catholic who chose to end her life in 2010. Combine that with my dad's more "down-to-earth but still rock and roll as fuck" and you get me. I've been an artist my entire life. There's an artbox somewhere that has most of the drawings and paintings i did as a child. As I grew, the idle time between art projects did as well. I'd sew myself a purse or paint some pop-art animal every once in awhile. But, for years, I'd more often think about creation than actually create. Then I met Jason Grohman, who is also a visual artist, a couple years ago. Something in him brought a flood of creativity out of me. It was like a switch flipped. I am constantly creating. Whether it’s in Photoshop or sitting behind my sewing machine, I have to be making or designing something. And that’s how Sweet Lavinia started. It was a rough idea I had to sell shirts with my art printed on them. Once I started sewing the coffin bags in late 2017, it was pretty clear the direction I needed to take the brand. I currently sell coffin bags but there are other items that I am excited to share/sell soon: keychains, pillows, stickers, postcards maybe? Stay tuned. Good, creepy things are coming as I am ever-evolving my craft...
