Art of Sophia McGuire Jewell

Visual Art – Cleveland

My work is essentially my emotions poured onto a surface. It is my version of meditation; it’s what helps me reach a state of inner peace. Each of my works can take on a life of its own, sometimes with my only control being the choice of colors and amount of medium. My current body of work is primarily a combination of acrylic inks mixed with water and isopropyl alcohol on non-porous Yupo paper. I began working with this process about 7-8 years ago while studying art history and studio art at Ohio State. Although I took a break while focusing on a professional career, I have recently delved back into making art full force and it is my sincere goal to share my work with as many people as I can reach.
