Visual Art – Raleigh
My artwork is a method of navigating and exploring the emotion and meaning that we, as humans, experience every day. Drawing and painting became an outlet for everything that was happening in my head at a relatively young age. Capturing and illustrating some small part of the magical, the inexplicable, and the wonder that surrounds us is my way of communicating with the world. Through images, I hope to compel the viewer to ponder a deeper meaning, see a new and unexpected perspective, or simply connect to their own, and others, emotions.
Raised in Raleigh, NC, I first began serious art classes at Sunflower Studio in middle school and remained a student throughout high school before branching out on my own. Studying independently and working with established artists as well as art supply retailers, has fostered my education and my love of the arts community.
