Sheryl Fisher

Visual Art – Victoria

The fascination of people, and more recently of rescue dogs, is evident in Sheryl’s art. She likes to paint intriguing personalities who are quirky, have history in their faces, display attitude, or have that certain something that sets them apart, which tells a curious story. Big brushes/spatulas are her tools to paint with and she uses gobs of colourful acrylics and mixed media to portray her subject in a loose and gestural way. She is self taught, but attributes a tangle of influences in her art such as workshops she has attended, the artistic community she lives in, galleries, music, and books.
