Visual Art – Houston

When I first observed lampworking, I was drawn to the flame as if I were a moth. I stopped everything from that point on. I was addicted to creating art in fire with my hands. Since then, I have never looked back or tried to live the normal accepted life of working to make someone else rich. Now I work and create for myself and my family. I am my own boss, and no one can take that away from me. I melt glass for a living now, and I love talking to people as I work. I consider the whole process art. From conception to completion. Its really something that has to be seen to be understood, and to really appreciate what it takes to create art in the lampworkers flame.
