Fashion – Columbus

I'm a Seamstress who began to learn how to self draft a garment when I was 14. I spent a lot of my youngest years exploring all the arts, but once I found sewing in the magnitude that I did, I knew it was what I wanted. I started out wanting to be a costume designer and even went to Ohio University Lancaster my senior year of high school to study Theater, with and emphasis on Costuming. Through my experience in Theater at OU I realized that it was not the creative box I fit into, though I still love it. I never wanted to contribute to the environmental and immoral labor conditions that have been popularized by "fashion" manufacturers. So for a long time I avoided the idea of me becoming a fashion designer myself. But instead I realized that I do not have to contribute, instead I will popularize the idea of upcycling garments along with promoting quality over quantity. Having the ability to find your individuality in clothing is possible, and even less stressful without the 8 seasons of fashion.
