Robert Anthony Jacobs

Visual Art – Los Angeles

Los Angeles native Robert Anthony Jacobs grew up engulfed in the anarchist-pop scene and hip-hop influenced culture of the mid 90's. With a passion for design and a strong sense of fashion, RAJ began taking stabs at business and entrepreneurship early in high-school. By the time he was 15 he had replaced his textbooks with T-shirts and started his first clothing line. Knowing he wanted more out of life, Robert dropped out soon after and started chasing his dreams. After helping launch several start-ups in the tech world, bouncing around California and taking some rather hilarious acting gigs. In his late twenties, “Bobby” cultivated his roots and co-founded the brand “L.A.D.S” that became wildly successful during the social media boom and eventually led to the opening of a brick & mortar creative space on Hollywood Blvd. known as “The Shop”. Armed with more tools than ever before and a team of kick-ass characters, Bobby has since launched his new line “Chasing Billions” which is slowly taking over the local stomping grounds and international e-commerce buzz by storm. In addition to making clothes, The Shop is now where Bobby creates the majority of his original pieces and large scale installations. Thanks to his success in the fashion world, he now has space and time to experiment with fine art. He’s also pioneering new territory in the online canvas art world exploring what it means to make pop art with the power of mass production. The self-taught artist is selling locally and world-wide, catching the attention of influencers and A-list celebrities alike. The demand for whatever he puts out is growing rapidly. His finished work has a short shelf life and the commissioned projects have an intriguing list of clients who are eager to get their hands on a RAJ original while they still can. The art world has a lot to smile about right now. -Jeremy Rist
