My name is Rachel, I\'m from north Jersey and I have been in professional makeup for three years. I have always had an interest in makeup even from a young age, makeup became a hobby for me. After practicing and experimenting I discovered the transformations I could make with just makeup, I was hooked on the art. I\'m fascinated by shadows and colors and how they can turn a face into a work of art. Every face is a blank canvas. Once I have a vision for a face there is no going back. Makeup to me is not just making someone look pretty, it\'s creating a character or a whole comprehensive idea, and I think that really translates into my work. The best part of being a makeup artist is that I get to do what I love while forming some really cool relationships. I love collaborative work, bouncing off of others\' creative energy and vice versa. I am trained in all types of makeup, but editorial is really my expertise. I love having creative freedom and experimenting with unconventional looks. Makeup is such an awesome creative outlet.
