Music – Los Angeles

New Carlier has been writing, recording and mixing his own music since 2017. Originally from Highland Park but raised in Covina. “Being mobile is what changed my mentality on rap. Once I got a whip, I was moving around Los Angeles and Orange County every weekend.” The youngest of 4, New Carlier grew up seeing his older sister in high school in the early 2000s when R&B and Rap was in a memorable shift. “I fell in love with the whole production that goes into a successful song in that era” New Carlier was years 6 when “The Love Below” by OutKast came out and 10 when ”Finding Forever” by Common came out. “I really gotta give all the glory to those two albums because without that type of introduction I don’t think Rap would have stuck with me how it did.” New Carlier is currently an independent artist and is working on his next project.
