Accessories – Baltimore
Born and raised in Baltimore, I am the third of four generations of local artisans and musicians. With a background in fine art ( primarily oil on canvas) I became bored with my original medium and desired to build on my canvas. I experiemented with different materials briefly before becoming creatively stagnant and abandoning my artistry for over a decade.
In 2015, I began experiementing with resin, a liquid fiberglass. Realizing this medium gave me the ability to work in layers, using many different materials "building up" to add multidimensional aesthetic, I was in love.
I primarily work with 3 materials ( crystals, upcycled metal, and resin). This combination is known as Orgonite. Hailed in the metaphysical community, orgonite devices draw in energy, trasnsmuting negative energy to positive. Different crystal/metal combinations have unique applications and reported benefits such as relieving anxiety and insomnia, absorbing geopathic stress and electromagnetic pollution for cell phones, electronics and WiFi, aligning or reviving the chakras, and as garden tools ( for soil health and crop growth). They are great for building crystal grids around the body or in intentional spaces during wellness practices such as yoga, meditation and reiki.
Becoming an Orgonite designer has been life changing journey for me that is ongoing. I'm greatful to be revived as an artist and a creator, making art I believe in.
