Iranian-American visual artist Montana Mann studied creative writing at Kenyon College and graduated with a BFA in film from Art Center College of Design. She has a passion for telling stories about underdogs that rise above all odds, and her work invokes its viewers to empathize with characters they might not usually. She brings a quiet vengeance to her art that garnered her attention from professionals at an early age as she is one of the youngest females to ever be accepted into the DGA as a director. Shoot Magazine named her one of the top new young artists to watch out for. Montana has won awards for her short films, commercial work, as well as her music videos. Her directing work earned her a College Television Award (EMMY) finalist nod, A Young Director Award nomination at Cannes, two ADDY awards, IFC finalist, and a Best Director award at La Femme Film. Her latest filmmaking piece, "Esther" just had it's US premiere at Nightmares Film Festival and it's UK premiere at Short On Tap London.
