​​Michael David Battle is a radical resistance artist, thinker, father, & lover committed to manifesting spaces of healing and making art that centers self-reflection & celebrates Self. His art celebrates and honors Black resilience that continues through centuries of individual and collective trauma. He crafts physical sculptures, prose writings, and spaces rooted in ritual and healing. "Trauma from violence and oppression manifest as internal shame, depression, suicide, isolation, abuse of all kinds -- the things that make us feel messy and unworthy and undeserving. We are the survivors. We are the healers. We are the storytellers."
