Visual Art – Seattle
Melissa Hudson was born and raised in a remote town in Alaska. She moved to Washington State to attend the Northwest College of Art and Design (NCAD). After graduating with her BFA in 2005, she worked at Hidden City Games LLC., where her art was included in the Clout Fantasy game series. Within a few years, she branched out into graphic novels and started illustrating Manga for a small studio, DementedDragon, LLC., She also penned the occasional freelance job for other publishers, such as Orang-Utan comics and their Faster Than Light series. In February, 2015, her first graphic novel, Witchfire, was published by Markosia Ltd. Since then a series of her short stories have appeared in magazines, anthologies and comics online and in print.
Currently she is writing and illustrating the webcomic, Wildskies, free to read on Tapas.
