Mark Ervin’s Art-N-Motion

Visual Art – Omaha

I’m an artist from Omaha. I was raised with 9 siblings, most of whom inherited my father’s talent as an artist. In 1989 my wife and I moved to Los Angeles where I attended the California Institute of the Arts, studying traditional Character Animation. I worked professionally in animation industry from 1990-2018. Most of my years were spent on “The Simpsons" as an Animator, Storyboard Artist, Assistant Director and Director. I also directed several episodes of “Futurama” before moving back to Nebraska in 2001 with my family. I also storyboarded and animated on “Rugrats” and various other shows. Currently I like to take advantage of the advancements in digital media creating full color illustrations of my first love, automobiles and people, often times, both interacting. I use my story telling style and animation background to create images that “come to life” or bring up memories that, perhaps, a camera never captured.
