Lauren D. is a free-lance painter, born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. She primarily works in acrylics, watercolor, body paint and mixed media, but loves experimenting with new materials and techniques. Her inspirations include nature, the city, mythology, and the archetypal imagery of dreams. Her style incorporates the use of jewel-tone colors to express emotional themes and focuses on finding beauty in unexpected places.
Lauren studied fine and studio arts at Lane Community College in Eugene, Oregon, and is currently working towards a BFA. She opened her online business in 2017 and continues to participate in local showcases around the Bay Area and the Pacific Northwest. Her creative goals include collaborations, participation in large-scale murals, installation projects, art markets, galleries, commissions, and the study of art history. She believes in supporting and engaging local communities by making art accessible for more people to enjoy, bringing artists together to elevate each other’s work, and nurturing freedom of expression to shape a better future.
