Visual Art – Seattle

Much of the paintings that I create are done in acrylic and realism is what I strive to master in my work. I tend to use earth tone colors in my pieces. From painting portraits of my favorite music icons, to graphic illustrations, and now a focus of ideas from my dreams - I feel i'm sort of all over the place. Dreams are out of the norm and the ones that I have I need to put onto canvas. My pieces range from a mix of realism, abstract, and morbid themes! Shocking and disturbing art is what I find interesting. If I can find a subject matter that really makes you question like..."WTF is going on?"...hey i'll go for that at times. As a designer, my directions with each project I focus on how I will use my fine art to fit the correct approach with each assignment. On the computer and with a pen and paper, combined together is a majority of my work. When I design, paint, sculpt, or draw, it is important for me to be open-minded and move around with my themes. I'm a scattered artist, and switching from portraitures, dream, abstract, design, illustration; I am not locked into one style. I'm diverse in my work because I enjoy the feeling of all the directions I can push myself towards medium, content and creativity. I went to art school in Poulsbo, WA and graduated from Northwest College of Art & Design in 2009. I received my bachelors degree in Visual Communications with a major in Fine Art and double major in Graphic Design.
