Visual Art – New York - Brooklyn

A Maine native and adopted New Yorker who expresses herself best through art and poetry, especially when speaking up was difficult. When she was a kid, she read Debbie Allen’s, beautifully illustrated, “Dancing in the Wings.” A story about a young girl of color, chasing her dreams against the odds. Years later after a very difficult childhood and a rough start to adulthood, she has become that lead character in the story. Kabria has become a woman who pursues her passions in spite of peoples opinions or the past, often expressing feelings or themes associated with her hardships to help or connect with others. She enjoys drawing and painting in charcoal, acrylic, watercolors, oils and gouache. She is consistently evolving and loves trying different mediums, never running short of ideas.
