Julian Alcantar 06-19-85 Julian Alcantar is a Mexican-born American artist. Raised in Mexico, at the age of 14, he relocated to the U.S. where he developed himself into a work of art. His artistic expressions offspring from the very abstract core of life which he uses to portray his own individualism through different skills such as performing arts, sculpture, visual arts and new media. His constant innovation with the canvas and his infinite creative mind place him in a pedestal with endless venues for his artistic career. Julian Alcantar’s paintings use bold hues, organic forms and gesture to create paintings that radiate energy. He creates his own language of abstraction that is not confined solely to a canvas; his work also encompasses performance and mural painting. Sometimes his brushstrokes seem haphazard and uncontrolled; while at others they seem much more intentional, creating organic shapes that are pleasing to the eye.
