Visual Art – Richmond

I can truthfully say that I am where I am because of so many opportunities that more or less landed in my lap. Sure, I could be satisfied with my life if I were not working in a creative field, but the arts give me passion. They fuel the fire burning inside me. In high school, I was given the opportunity to experiment with different media: encaustic drawings, ink, paint, spray paint and stencil art, wood burning... You name it. While the others were fun and unique, stencil art is really what gave me that spark. It's what I stayed up all night working on, it's what I spent all my free time researching, and it's what I've been experimenting ever since. The idea being able to control chaos -- something as sporadic and stubborn as spray paint -- is truly empowering.
