Jake Williams

I began my hair styling career in Brisbane just over 5 years ago. Having grown up in the country, the move to working in the city always seemed very exciting and dangerous. I was trained by the best hair stylists and colourists in Brisbane, and 5 years later that has broken me through to the Sydney market. The passion for hair styling was very unexpected for me, especially so early on in life, so to be able to say \'I love what I do\' is a great feeling. I am grateful to have worked on editorial photo shoots, advertising campaigns, backstage at Sydney\'s Mercedes Benz Fashion Festival, salon collections, alongside the Aveda Global Creative team and more. The opportunities I\'ve been given and created for myself are definitely a great driver in keeping a proactive career to further myself in the hairdressing and relative industries. Currently I work in salon 4-5 days a week as a stylist, colourist and educator at Stevie English Hair in Glebe, and on my days off, I work as the NSW State Educator for Showpony Hair Extensions. Educating for both companies continues to teach me patience, but also how rewarding it is to better the skills of my peers and students. It also opens the door to working alongside some of the greatest stylists in the industry, inspiring and challenging my current skill set. There is so much more I have yet to achieve in my career, and I look forward to it all!
