Fashion – Brisbane
My design work predominately takes the form of collage/mixed media. This is my chosen medium as I feel it allows me to visually explore connectedness and the composite nature of identity, often emphasizing our primal ties to the environment. I am interested in deconstructing ideas of the ‘self’ (egotistical focus on the human individual) and representing the SELF (a large comprehensive entity encompassing out connections with all living things). I often anthropomorphize animal and plant biological systems to give them a form we as humans can hopefully understand and empathize with more intimately.
