Hybrid Dance

Performing Art – Melbourne

"Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes. Art is knowing which ones to keep." -Scott Adams Hybrid Dance (also known as Hybrid Dance Company) began as a group founded in 2014 by dancer Dante Taurima, with the help of his friend and musician Liana Perillo. In 2017, Hybrid began making a shift from being a recreational group to a professional company, with the notable addition of Rachael Ewert being introduced into the management team. Hybrid Dance strives to push creative boundaries and constantly looks for opportunities to work with artists who have trained in other fields. The company prides itself on devising interesting concepts, encouraging its choreographers to think of alternative structures when planning their pieces. Notable contributors to the company include: Andrew J Liu, Michelle Carli, Khai Tran; Rachael Thompson, Suzi Ristan, Nicole Paparousis, Jonathan Shrek and Jordan Pegley.
