Visual Art – Austin

My name is Corrie Wolfe. I grew up in the West Texas town of Abilene. I fully embraced the tie-dye fad as a kid and never let go. I went off to school in Austin to become a filmmaker. After a final semester in LA, I found myself back home with new perspectives. My true love found me (Watson, my dog), and I embarked on this twisted tie-dye adventure. I started “Howlin’ Dyes” in 2015 and have been creating and growing ever since. Last year, I opened a little shop inside a pretty groovy old miniature golf course, Play Faire Park. I also teach tie-dye classes and am about to expand to a new public studio. What I love most about my work, is bringing the unsuspecting spark of color to my hometown and stirring the imagination of my followers.
