Ernesto’s the name and hair is my game. I am a licensed stylist with an expertise in textured cuts, balayages, and color corrections. I am a former educator for the California based, vegan color line, Color Edge and currently have my heart set on becoming an educator for Schwarzkopf, my favorite color line.
I started my career in a small boutique salon in East LA but early on realized I wanted more. I worked my way up into a more established business, but soon realized that the corporate structure of a mainstream salon goes against everything I believe. I believe that hairstylist should have the freedom to express their skills and talents in every way shape or form. These experiences shaped the way I see and run my business today.
Working for others inspired me to push forward and move into a 110 square foot studio in Whittier, California. There I learned what it really takes to be your own boss. My client list grew and so did I. Today I am the proud owner and founder of the Hair Therapist salon in Montebello, California.
