Visual Art – Kansas City
I'm a self-taught Artist from Kansas City, MO, specializing in Digital Illustrations and Acrylic Paintings. I discovered the blessing of art in January of 2015. I've always loved art but I never drew anything more than a flower or a simple character. After staring at a sketch that my dad drew for a friend of his... I suddenly felt compelled to draw and paint.
So... I took a quick trip to Hobby Lobby and Michaels, grabbed pencils, markers, pens, paints... whatever medium I could get my hands on.
From that point on, I've been at it non-stop... perfecting and fine tuning my skill. I've taught myself everything I know so far and will continue to self teach more techniques and mediums in order to enhance my craft/gift.
I’ve found that illustrating is my first love and painting brings me peace. My hope one day is to illustrate my own series of books, stories/comics. As for the painting aspect of my dream, my plan is to incorporate paint parties & host art therapy classes hoping it will help inspire others and bring them the peace that it brings me; and of course sell original paintings, prints and other products feathering my creations.
