Visual Art – Boston
My name is Emily Contino, I am a 20 year old NH based painter. I began painting when I was 4 years old and I have been an artist ever since. Most of what I paint, are deeply personal portraits of people that I know or feel connected with. I have never truly been able to state what my "message" as an artist is, I don't think that there is a real body of words to properly describe it. My goal when I am painting is to capture the essence of a particular person, either their personality or that moment in time. I hope that my work hits the viewer on a gut level, and leaves you with an understanding that does not call for words, in a way that only art can.
