Emilia Sauaia

Emilia Sauaia was born in Brazil, where she produced and directed TV shows for TV Bandeirantes, one of the country’s largest TV channels. Seeking to deepen her grasp of filmmaking, Emilia travelled to New York in 2011. There, she studied filmmaking, then specialized in Cinematography. As Director of Photography, Emilia has shot several award-winning projects, garnering prizes in two festivals in 2013, the most recent as Best Cinematographer at the 100 hour film competition in February of 2014.
