Performing Art – San Diego
[e]Merge is led by Mario Jaimes, a freelance contemporary dance artist born and raised in San Diego, California. He received a BFA in Dance along with a minor in Management from San Diego State University in 2016. While in college, he choreographed numerous works, performed for the University’s Dance Company, and was President of the university’s Dance Club. In his third year, Mario began to perform in San Diego Trolley Dances which soon led him to receive a contract with San Diego Dance Theater. He is now entering his fifth year as a company dancer and is pleased to work with a passionate, supportive team of choreographers and dancers. [e]Merge is Mario’s first organized dance collective; aiming to collaborate with dancers, musicians, and visual artists alike to produce a fresh approach to performance art. RAW will be hosting [e]Merge's premier debut and Mario is beyond excited to ARISE as a RAW artist.
