BIO Elizabeth Brown was born in Russia and raised in Israel from her very early years in childhood. Her professional journey starts in Italy, Instituto Marangoni Milano as her first step as a growing young design. After her experience in Milan she has returned to Israel and joined Shenkar college of Design. To continue her education and exploration of cultures she transferred to Parsons, Paris campus, and as a last step of her educational path graduated at Parsons school of design, New York campus, The New School, New York campus. All those cultures are part of Elizabeth's aesthetic. As a Women’s and men’s wear designer, Story-telling has always been the core component of her entire being. Stories represent a passage to an unusual reality where real life rules become irrelevant to her, Time and gravity may disappear, other forces may take control. The stories that she creates could take place where one may break the chains of society, outlive forbidden instincts… go completely out of one’s mind.... Elizabeth has been always interested and inspired by fashion and costume history, arts and Theatre. Tailored details are what matters to her and hand craft. She likes taking tailoring and give it her own interpretation. She has passion to create garments that are presentational, extravagant, fantastic with a theatrical flair. After exploring the intellectual background of a subject she uses it for a personal creative world that has been triggered by the subject . She takes different elements, different cultures, different stories to create her own. ​ As a collage artist collaging Elizabeth's preferable method of visual expression to get a primary inspiration. Her collages drive her imagination for shapes, colors, materials, mood, set, makeup and all what it takes to tell her story. Her collages represent momentary moods and concepts enabling expressions of nuanceses and feelings. Elizabeth's vision is rooted in a reality that turns into a story, transformed into an artistic expression, a show, creation of surprise and creativity, Simply, she prefers that the work does the talk itself... Fashion for her is a visually expressed view of an imaginary world that becomes tangible.
