Donald R. Emery Jr. is a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana A self taught artist, he has been perfecting the art of barbering for over 25 years. His professional career began in 2006, after attending Baton Rouge Community College.
After finding inspiration from graffiti and visual arts, Emery decided to create a bridge between the two mediums. Offering creative styles to clients on a complimentary basis, honed his skill. Over time Emery developed a keen eye for detail and an unquenchable hunger for perfection. Ultimately, is what sets him apart from other barbers and why he refers to himself as a barberartist.
Emery has styled playwrights, preachers, actors and musicians including Gbenga Akinnagbe, The Blind Boys Of Alabama, as well as being personal barber to
Golfers Digest Wayne Birch Jr. professional caddie to 2018 Barbasol's winner Troy Merritt.
Emery maintains licenses in both Louisiana and Texas while he continues to pursue his passion for the arts; all while mentoring and guiding the careers of other successful barbers and stylists in the industry.
