Music – Washington, D.C.

Desiree Jordan (pronounced des-ah-ree), a native of the Washington, D.C. Metro area, developed her musical prowess growing up in a musical family, active in the music ministries of her home church in Silver Spring, MD, and as a member of the renowned Washington Performing Arts Society’s Children of the Gospel Mass choir. She has performed on famed stages throughout the east coast, from The John F. Kennedy Center and Zanzibar on the Waterfront in Washington, DC; to The Shrine, B.B. Kings Blues Club, The Bitter End, and more in New York City; and internationally, performing on the Caribbean island of Antigua at its annually renowned, “Soothe Lounge”. Desiree is 1/2 of the R&B Soul group, KiDé, and is 1/7 of the Roy Ayer's produced, RAMP, an American soul/jazz band of the 70’s whose music works have been sampled by R&B notables such as Erykah Badu, and Q-Tip from a Tribe Called Quest.
