Visual Art – Boston

My name is Danniel. I'm an MA local from Brockton. I work full-time as an ambulance chairvan driver at Lifeline Ambulance in Needham, but I do art and writing in my free time. Art and story-telling were a huge part of my life growing up. I've done my own comic books since I was in grade school, and I was even considering being an animator in high school, but after two years of art school from 2002 to 2004, I switched majors and never really touched a colored pencil or a marker again seriously on and off for over a decade. However, I wrote from time to time and even published my first novel back in 2016. I just saw art as an unprofitable hobby back then and grew ashamed of the craft. Then sometime in 2017, I saw some fellow co-workers at my old job doing comic book-style illustrations with markers and colored pencils, the mediums I favored, and God used their example to revive my hunger for art. It become a joy to me again. I mostly did portraits in colored pencil for friends and figured this was the possible career path I could pursue, but when I took a risk and did a book cover for my now fellow author friend, my passion for writing stories was revived, too. Since then, I've published four new novels with my illustrations of the main characters on the front covers. I was even featured as an Artist for the Month of April by Brockton Community Access at their headquarters at 1 North Main st in Brockton for my illustrations and novels. My hope is to have a full-time career as a fictional author and illustrator, recording readings and illustrations of chapters from my novels and putting them on YOUTUBE for the world to see.
