Visual Art – Charlotte
Dana Carter is a self-taught artist from Charlotte, North Carolina. Ever since she can remember she have always love to paint and draw. She is a current member of the Charlotte Art League (CAL). Her artworks are exhibited at local venues. She was encouraged by friends and family pursue her passion for art. Her art studio is in an upstairs bonus room, so she started branding the art business as The Art Upstairs. Her visual artwork is experimental aspect of using different mediums and techniques. The mediums used are epoxy resin, thermochromic paint, glow paint, alcohol ink, and acrylic paint. Her art collections are inspired by nature, although not exclusive to a subject. Her distinctive artistic expressions are juxtaposing of texture, use of vibrant colors and nature inspired theme.
