Curvy Queenz of Dallas was put together by Creative Director & Choreographer Gladys Johnson, a.k.a Groovin' with Gladys born and raised in South Central, LA. After High school her dance career took off she appeared in the music video Black Eyed Peas “Hey Mama.” After appearing in the “Hey Mama” music video she went on to star in a K-Swiss and AT&T commercial, and performing in award shows like the MTV Movie awards, and the Ascap awards where she did a tribute to Rick James, and much more. Curvy Queenz Dance team has become a dance outlet to help women embrace their bodies, sending positive messages to these women to dance and feel good about themselves again, and not to care about how much they weigh, Curvy Queenz of Dallas dance team wants to encourage the curvy and plus size women all over the world to know that “Dance Has No Size” and if you have a dream or a goal never give up on accomplishing what you want in life because you are in charge of your own story no matter your size so write your next chapter with pride, motivation, faith, courage and know you are beautiful in every way.
