Christina Marie

My past two years have been spent in the woods of my life. There are no paths here for me to take; just branches to show me light and roots to remind me of my depths. I’ve been blessed with so much discovery through finding how my family and my history have effected who I’ve become. My chronicles of this time are expressed in trees for I have no words that would adequately express what this journey has meant to me. Trees are my constant reminder to live and breathe simply. Life is so complicated with trappings that trip like brambles and tear with thorns. I always prefer the company of birds, wind and stars; sitting on my back steps painting that feeling. I dedicate this series of trees to my Aunties Parker for giving my sister and I a family, deep love and connection that we’d never known to exist before. The 2014 Holiday RAWk will be my third event with RAW Minneapolis and my second show with live painting. I love the energy a RAW show brings to my art and hope to share my work with you there!
