Bridget McAllister

Performing Art – Sydney

My name is Bridget McAllister. I grew up in Mackay, North Queensland. My early training in the arts began in Mackay; at Leisa Payne School of Dance where I learnt classical ballet, tap, jazz and contemporary. I completed exams in all genres and performed in many group ensembles and solo performances. I also attended the ‘Triple Threat Academy’, where I pursued singing, dancing and acting for many years. In 2014, I made the decision along with the support of my family to move to Brisbane for full time classical ballet training. I studied ballet for three years at the Annette Roselli Dance Academy. During my third year of ballet, my passions changed and a love for Contemporary Dance emerged. In 2018, I was accepted into the Sydney Dance Company Pre- Professional Year. In 2018 I have had the pleasure of working with Sue Healey (Narrabeen film), Prue Lang (towards innumerable futures) and Rafael Bonachela (Scattered Rhymes). From 2013 onwards, I have been teaching and choreographing across the performing arts.
