Visual Art – Austin, TX

Originally from Austin, TX but currently living in Dallas, TX. 2011 - My fine arts instructor submitted my first piece of artwork that was chosen to be displayed in downtown Austin, Tx for student appreciation week. This was a graphite self portrait. 2014 - Enrolled in fine art drawing courses at Austin Community College to become more knowledgeable of different sketching techniques, point of view, and scaling. 2015 - Became eager to step out of my comfort zone and work with color. I bought my first paintbrush and decided to teach myself to work with acrylic, oil and watercolor paint. Slowly produced clientele and joined the international "RAW Artist" community. 2017 - On 6/22/17 I had my first RAW showcase "VERSE" Emo's in Austin, TX. I also continued to create original artwork and commission orders throughout the year. 2018 - On 4/28/2018 I was selected by "Art Works Gallery" in downtown Austin, TX to host a solo showcase sponsored by Tito's Vodka. I had a 10 piece "tree" themed display along with an open bar and appetizers. 2 original pieces were auctioned off to ticket buyers during the reception. On 5/5/2018 I displayed 5 paintings @ the "Pancakes and Booze" art showcase in Austin, TX @ Elysium where I was able to network and eat unlimited pancakes. On 5/30/18 I had my second RAW showcase "Magnify" @ Stereo Live in Houston, TX where I sold $200+ of original artwork. After donating one of my original pieces titled "love & protection" to the Camp Fire Fort Worth organization I was invited to the annual art award ceremony @ the Fort Worth Zoo on 10/18/18. On 11/1/18 I drove 800 miles to Denver, Co to explore and participate in my 3rd Raw Artist showcase "Ovation" @ The Church Nightclub where I sold 7 pieces of artwork and mingled with fellow art enthusiasts. 11/10/18 I was personally invited by the Camp Fire Fort Worth organization to their annual black tie event @ the Fort Worth Zoo where I got to reunite with artists I had met on 10/18/18, an art auction which included my art donation, guest speakers, grand opening of a new exhibit and dinner. ...more
